Mary E. Adams, President
Mary is a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) with more than 15 years of experience in meeting planning, association management and marketing. In addition to running ECG, Mary is the Executive Director for the Bergen County Professional Women’s Network.
Prior to launching ECG, Mary was a professional sales representative for Merck & Co. She came to Merck after helping to establish the Life Sciences division of Worldwide Business Research, a conference company in New York City, where she produced conferences on drug discovery and online retail.
Previously Mary worked with an automotive engineering company in Cleveland, Ohio, where she produced sales meetings, spearheaded the company’s brand identity campaign and managed all marketing and sales support initiatives.
She earned her Masters in Business Administration from Fordham University in New York, where she graduated with Beta Gamma Sigma, American Marketing Association and Phi Kappa Phi honors. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
Mary is a frequent speaker on the topics of entrepreneurship, women in business, networking and association management.
Laura Castle, Project Director
Laura has over 7 years of experience in non-profit association management and strategic planning. She is responsible for the association management side of ECG and specializes in working with clients to develop processes to improve member communications, committee participation, and resource development.
Prior to joining ECG, Laura worked for the International Trademark Association (INTA), a global association with over 7,000 organizational members. In her tenure at INTA, Laura served as Director of Communications, Director of Legal Resources, and Senior Membership and Business Development Coordinator. She holds a BA in Communications from Denison University.
Kelly A. Barnitt, Meetings Manager
Kelly is responsible for the development and execution of ECG’s meetings and events. Kelly works directly with clients and colleagues to assist with planning and coordinating every detail, including site research and RFPs, producing program materials and managing on-site logistics. She is an integral part of ECG’s association management and member relations team. She also provides support for the Bergen County Professional Women’s Network’s programs in northern New Jersey.
Prior to joining ECG as Meetings Coordinator in 2015, Kelly served as Conference Coordinator for Flik at CitiGroup in New York, NY, and Program Coordinator at CIMAX, Inc, in Ramsey, NJ. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Recreation and Leisure Services Management from East Stroudsburg University School of Business.
